CALLING ALL COMPETITIVE COACHES!

The Ottawa Valley District Girls Hockey Association is now accepting applications for our competitive teams. We are looking for qualified coaches for our 2024/2025 U11, U13, U15, and U18 competitive Thunder teams. Tryouts are scheduled for August 2024.

APPLICATION PROCESS

If you are interested in applying as a head coach, please send an email to president@girlshockey.ca with the following documents:

coaching resume outlining your coaching experience, certifications, and qualifications;
short cover letter, which includes the following:

why you are interested in coaching a Thunder competitive team;
why you are a good candidate for this coaching position.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Competitive coaches are required to have successfully completed their Development 1 certification or be able to obtain it prior to the start of the season.

ABOUT THE PROCESS

All coaching applications will be reviewed by the OVDGHA Competitive Coaches Selection Committee. Candidates who have been selected to move forward in the process will be contacted for an interview.

Coach selection announcements are anticipated to be made in late April/early May in order to have head coaches in place for August tryouts.

We will be accepting applications until Monday, April 1, 2024. Please spread the word!!
